(Just sharing a poem)


Lying in me

Lying in me, as though it were a white
Stone in the depths of a well, is one
Memory that I cannot, will not, fight:
It is happiness, and it is pain.
Anyone looking straight into my eyes
Could not help seeing it, and could not fail
To become thoughtful, more sad and quiet
Than if he were listening to some tragic tale.

I know the gods changed people into things,
Leaving their consciousness alive and free.
To keep alive the wonder of suffering,
You have been metamorphosed into me.

I failed to write. It's been a month and half. I can't write something understandable nor satisfying.
All I get are lines and lines and lines, put together with nonsense. And never make a real poem.
I'll have to list them here, which is all I can do for now..

-We dance, and though we shatter still, we dance..
-Even the moon is a chameleon.
-Me; A schizophrenic. You; a capricious. And our dreams are whimsical.
-It was just a dream; a fragile dream-let go of me..
-A thought; juvenile, wrinkled by a tantalizing fantasy, elapsed to misfortunes.
-You; The aftermath.
-Winter protested.
-Hope was paralyzed.

And that's all I have in mind.

--What is your favorite color? -Crimson (And Lilac too)
--What do you want to be when you grow up? -Different.
--Do you believe in God and life after death? -Definitely.
--What matters to you? -People.
--Who are your bestest friends? -Esraa and Hagar.
--What is your favorite number? -Zero for new beginnings.
--Which of your friends have heard you sing the most? -I guess Esraa.
--Do they think you’re good? -We're all good in one way or another.
--Can you recall your last dream? -A horrific one with chasing and guns.
--What scares you the most? -My life.
--Do you envy anyone? -Not really envy.
--Are you usually late, early, or right on time? -Early
--When was the last time you told someone honestly how you felt about them? -Today.
--What do you think is the hardest thing for you to give up? -Addiction.
--Which would you choose, true love with a guarantee of a heart break or have never loved before? -The second.
--What was the highlight of your 2009? -RTVW, my friends and my change.
--Do you lead people on just to get your way? -Not really.
--What’s your favorite horror movie? -Emily Roze (And Mirrors)
--Wet the toothbrush or brush dry with the toothpaste? -Wet. Grrr..
--Where did you go on your first airplane ride? -Move to UAE.
--What’s your favorite type of music? -Mostly rock.
--Who did you meet in 2009 that you will not forget for years to come? -Nada and Engi
--Do you put butter before putting the peanut butter on? -lol?
--Are you afraid of the dark? -Usually no.
--Are you a giver or a taker? -Can I be both? Yes, I'm both.
--Are you sarcastic? -Only with some people.
--Do you think you are physically strong? -Barely.
--Who was the last person you arm-wrestled with? -That happened long, long time ago.
--Are you a good singer? -Some people say I am, but I barely sing in front of public.
--Honesty or compassion? -Honesty.

Stumbling,
words are falling-
I didn't mean to say it..

Obscure
those tempestuous emotions
You could've just let go.

Absolution-like thoughts
-to the star dust-
flew,
I was pulled down.

I shattered..

I liked this:

Translation:
